It has been a minute

Or several.. haha.. Okay, so I know I am horrible about writing on here. Got that out of the way.

Abigail is in the first grade now. I really like her teacher, Ms. Koss, this is her second year of teaching. She seems to do well with Abigail or Abigail seems to do well with her.. haha.. This week I guess they had some type of teacher training or something in the morning, so Abigail had a subsitute a few mornings. I asked her the other day if Ms. Koss was there all day or if she had a subsitute. Her response to me.. "Mom, if I don't tell you there is subsitute then you'll know Ms. Koss was there all day. You don't need to ask me." I looked at her, I said back, "Well, I'm sure I'll still ask questions about your day." I know it wasn't a good comeback, but it was all I had.

Last weekend, for Abigail's 7th birthday she had a sleepover. What was I thinking? :) When you just have the one and add six girls to the mix.. all I can is whoa. Out of the seven girls who were present three were only children, three were oldest children, and one was the youngest. I am a firm believer in birth order and having six kids who normally have some type of control and not really use to be bossed around can make a fun evening. Here is Abigail before people showed up :)

The calm before the storm. haha.. no, overall it went pretty well. I think next time she has a sleepover she can invite one to three girls over. That I think I could handle. I had some games planned, but only seemed to get about half of them done. Every girl got some makeup in their goodie bag which seemed to go over well. Thankfully, I heard that pretty much everyone had fun. Thats all it is really about.

I'm sure as most of you read on my Mom's facebook, I have a smart chld. :) On her own she realized that she of course is seven, her Pa is 61 which equals seven. I noticed my sister is 34 which also adds to seven.. see, Mi, your little unit is still in there this year ;) Next year when Pa and Mariah are 62 and 35 they will still add to Abigail's age of 8.

I know this flow isn't good here, but its cool. :) What else is new with Abigail.. just some things I would like to write down so I don't forget. She likes boys with blonde and brown hair... even though she and I agree she is too young for a boyfriend right now. I have to say I was a little suprised when she and I were watching Wizards of Waverly Place. One of the boys on there had one a tanktop and my girl stopped what she was doing and said, oh he is strong. I am just not ready for that.

Abigail did get to go to her first concert, Selena Gomez. It was a gread birthday present, Nonnie and Mariah.

Ready for the concert.

I have to say this selfishly.. I love that my daughter loves live events. Erin gave us some tickets she had for the ballet another success. She also loves plays and does really well at high school football games. While it was in season she did go to a workshop that she was able to perform at one half time game. It was for a good cause, a young girl in high school has cancer and the dance team was raising money for her.

Abigail and Leah so excited about the performance.

Program

Abigail had her Kindergarten Program on Tuesday, February 16th. It was very cute. My daughter was very excited about it. I not thinking much about the importance of a program had no idea to buy a new outfit. Monday night, currently Abbie has cheer practice and two fellow mothers were telling me what their daughters were wearing. I thought oh crap, its tomorrow and my girl has nothing to wear. Thankfully, Claremore has a JCPenney's so after practice we went over there. It must have been my lucky day because it was sales all around! For the time being in Abbie's life I allow her to pick out her own clothes. Of course she picked out, what I think, is the prettiest one. It is a very Abbie dress.

Getting ready is hard on a little girl

my beautiful brown eyed girl

Abbie thought she looked scared in this one..

and I thought I looked scary in this one..

Finally the show

Well.. the preshow.. we can't expect five and six years to sit perfect while they wait..

Who couldn't resist playing with that dress!

She sees me!

She had a part with finger symbols... she was excited.

yeah.. needless to say I get told by her teacher she talks a weee bit too much in class..

I'm not sure what she was doing. She was dancing most of the time

She said she wasn't scared at all. Frankly, I think she likes the stage.

I was told to write this down

This evening Abigail and I were playing a game with the magnets on the fridge. While we were playing this interesting game we were eating pizza. Now, some of you are my friends on facebook, so you maybe thinking, I thought Sarah was going non-processed. Well, I am working on it. We did have a cheese pizza that had some organic substance. That made me feel better. Its a work in progress, like everything else I suppose. Anyways.. So, back to the game. While we were playing the game and eating our pizza my daughter is sitting in her bra and panties. For those of you who don't know Abigail, she does wear panties and a bra EVERYDAY. While she is at home she normally just wears her bra and panties around the house. While eating she got pizza sauce on her face. What does she do? Well, what any other child would do wipe her face off with her clothes. Since, she didn't have a shirt on she of course wiped her face off with her bra. This causing a red sauce mark on it. She of course couldn't wear that, so it came off. My child since the age of two has missed very few days of going without her bra. She thought it was just too funny she was wearing just her panties. She stands up and laughing says, "Look at me, I'm Suuuuper Panties" She and I both giggled. After we both laughed she told me I needed to write that down so, I could remind her of this when she gets older.

I thought I would also include she calls the refrigerator the fridge unless she is putting something in it. When she puts something in it she'll say I'll put it in the fridge for later. Which actually I never corrected her when she use to call it the fridge for later all the time because I thought it was so cute. Refrigerator does sound very similar to fridge for later..

On another note, Abbie had a dentist appointment last week with no cavities. I'm pretty excited that she is cavity free! She does have to have what was explained to me like a root canal. Her upper molar on the right side has an exposed nerve.. OUCH! I know! Thank goodness we're getting it fixed! I'll let you know how it goes!

Three is our limit

Abbie is in three activities. I think that is the max. If we add anything now we'll have to remove another activity. She is in girl scouts (which the cookies will be on sale in March and I am taking orders now!), gymnastics, and now cheer leading. Today was her first game. She is actually cheering through the First United Methodist church in Claremore with Upward.org. There isn't any "girl" basketball team, however they do have co-ed teams. They said if more girls were interested they would start, but I guess there aren't enough little girls who want to do that. I have a girlie girl who has no interest in sports at this time in her life. I think since she was three she has wanted to be a cheerleader. She has always told me she wants to be on the very top of the pyramid. I have included some pictures of her first "game" to attend.

Everything else is going well. She got moved up in gymnastics and I am always surprised of what she does every week. Last week they did work on the balance beam and there was a short one and a medium tall one.. The short one is wider then the one that is taller. Well, the girls in her class got to pick which one they wanted to get on and my little girl of course picks the taller thinner one. She did good. She wants to do gymnastics competitively, she wants trophies. Maybe next year.. we'll see what our schedule is like. School is going great. :)
