what is she saying!
haha... okay.. I am horrible about updating my blog.. You all know this. So, when I sit down to write something it is normally quick. A lot of my stuff doesn't seem to make sense and my typos are insane! haha. so, I will make an effort starting on the next blog to make more time for it. Which I'll probably start writing in a word dcoument and then just copy and paste. IF you have any questions over anything that doesn't make sense you may just want to add in your own words or ask me :) either way! haha I guess that will be part of my 2010 resolution! I think it'll be a great year! I'm looking forward to it.

Christmas
For Christmas Abigail and I went to my parents. Lucky for me I was able to go up and take part in the fun on Christmas Eve and beat the snow. Abbie after spending a couple of days with her grandparents slept in on Christmas morning. She had a great Christmas. In spite of the snow my sister got she said screw it I'm going to Joplin! haha okay okay.. I added some words in there. It was a lot of fun. The kids got to go out and play on Saturday. I think overall they got along and had a great time. :) Here are a few captured moments

the beautiful tree

my girl looking well beyond her years...

panties.. a Christmas is not complete without getting a pair of undies somewhere in the mix

These pictures were taken by a camera my mother has had for years. On there she has never downloaded any of the pics. We downloaded them and I found some shots on there I just had to share.

sorry.. its on its side.. I guess you'll either need to change your screen or laptop on its side or just tilt your head.. haha.. the choice is yours. I think Abbie was about 2 1/2 in that one. Such innocence. She is actually wearing a dress that my mother wore.
The next two are from her third birthday

Abbie and her Pa.

The Monday after Christmas I had to go back to work, but due to the all the snowbthe daycare was closed. Mariah was like my knight in shining armor.. except she is a woman who according to my boss looks just like me.. and she wears usually jeans with with long-sleeved tshirts.. Instead of a horse she can blazing in on two wheels.. haha.. okay not so much. She took Abbie and let her play outside and her first sledding experience in their backyard. My duaghter, I don't see ever saying no to anything that contains adventure in someway. Last summer she went with Mariah's family to Jason's parents' lakehouse and just wanted to go faster on the ski doo.. I was informed the gas was down all the way.. anywho.. I was told Abbie went down on the makeshift sled of a trash can lid about 20 times. I was told that the kids had fun and JonJon and Abbie got along really well which is nice. I heard they even shared some of their toys. I like to hear that. Thanks Mariah and Jason for letting Abbie come over to play! Jason you did great with the two big kids and the snowman was great! My sister has some really cute pics on her blog. I can't steal pictures off of shutterfly.. so.. hence the ones only with my child.

I officially have a six year old!
Abigail is six. CRAZY! Her birthday is December fifth and, as well as, all of you know our schedules seem so busy during this time. A few years ago I thought it would be great for a half birthday, with Abbie sharing the birthday with her two cousins.. which I'm sure everyone out in my blog world knows this.. My sister was totally on board for it and we did a half party the first Sunday in June. Well, with Abbie being my social little butterfly, I was not aware how important it would be to her having a party on the actual day. I know, what was I thinking?!?! I'm not sure what is going to happen to the half birthday next June.. I'll guess time will tell. She had a party at Gymnastics City in Claremore and I think it was a success. Me being me, I'm so not the planner or the organizer. I grew up with such an organizing, planning older sister, who took care of most things. Honestly, she still does. I also usually hang out with other planners. It works well for me and for them. haha.. I hope its an equal mutual relationship anyways! When it comes to things with Abbie I have to really focus and put myself in a whole new role. With this role I'm still learning and don't have the organization and planning down all that well. I'm working on it! Thankfully!!!!! My cousin Erin came to the party and she pretty much lead the thing. Here are a couple of pictures..

Yes.. for those of you wondering.. Abigial is still into the Ariel thing.. and yes she was the only one dressed liked that.. Abbie takes gymnastics there and she said she wanted to wear it. Me again being me, didn't think anything of it. I didn't think that she would be the only one.. but she was. I was going to change her when I realized it, however, a few of the moms said she is the birthday girl its okay. so.. I said okay.
Today, while I am typing this sitting in my daughter's room, I told her to get rid of stuff. As I look up from the computer I see more toys on her floor. She did what I asked and went through some stuff... instead it is everywhere. Does she want to get rid of it.. amazingly enough she said three things! We all have to start somewhere!
Oh.. another interesting story. As you guys knows I'm a single parent. With Abbie going to school and our situation not being a common occurence in our little town it has started to be a topic at home. Her big concern at the moment is telling her kids they don't have a grandpa becuase I never got married. I told her that her grandparents got married when I was 19. So.. she told me I needed to be married by the time she was 19. I told her I'd work on it.
Oh! and for those of you who can't leave comments. I don't know how to change that. I'll work on it.

Where have I been?
I know right! I haven't posted in awhile. I like to have people tell me to keep this up so they can read the exciting things going on in my life.. haha.
For Thanksgiving we went to my parents. It was fun. My daughter believes you HAVE to have a turkey on Thanksgiving, and luckily for us my parents say okay. :) Abigail just loved that turkey. I asked Abbie was she was thankful for and she said her family and her pets. The girl has two guinea pigs. The days before Thanksgiving from her school I did receive a card that had four questions in it with her answers. I have to share them with you guys. :)
1. What is Thanksgiving?
Something you are thankful for
2. Who started Thanksgiving and Why?
Indians because they wanted to help people.
3. Where do you get your turkey?
Buy one at the store.
4. How do you cook a turkey?
You put it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
haha.. I found it funny. On Thanksgiving we made a wreath and I think Abbie did a great job with the decorating and mom you did a great job with the hot glue gun!
Then the Sunday after Thanksgiving we went over to my cousin Erin's house. Thanks Erins for being a great host as always. It was a lot of fun. After leaving Erin's house I thought we were going to join Mariah and Jason for dinner in Sand Springs. Abbie stated that she didn't want to drive all the way to Sand Springs then all the way home. The long drive would cause her to fall asleep and miss all the fun at home. I couldn't really argue with the logic there.
Yesterday, Abbie was telling me about school and she was so excited to explain to me there is an elf in her classroom. This isn't just any elf, this is one that works with Santa. Santa has sent the elf to watch them. Also she was informed that Santa doesn't watch all the kids since he couldn't watch them all over the world including China. *for those of you who don't know, my daughter is very intrigued by the Chinese* She may have also mentioned China because they maybe the only other country she is truly aware of... Anywho. What Santa does do is he sends elves and also uses stuffed animals in kids' rooms to watch the kids and report back to him. I thought well.. I'll keep that one going. The magic is in the spirit of Christmas.
